lately.

Avery is lovin' and livin' for preschool lately. Here she is at her spotlight a couple weeks ago. I really think this is a big reason she's not scared to get up in Primary at church and give talks. We love her teacher - for lots of reasons. and we've been having some crazy storms some afternoons. here was some hail and you can tell, this is after it had melted a bit in sweaty little hands...
the early sunset is confusing the kids. the other night we were at our cousin's after dinner and Avery came to me 3 separate times and asked if it was time to go yet. She couldn't figure out why we were staying the night away --

Ry sponsored a neighborly gourmet wiener roast to mark the end of summer --

we did a cake walk after dogs and the kids had fun, but then the adults wanted their cake too.

the winnings:

for preschool they have "theme days" this year and last week it was apples ( the boys and I got to go help too...)

. . . so the kids got to help with all the steps of the old-fashioned cider press, it was hard work!

but the "not-much" was very, very delicious.
